You're seeing people go along with a lot of gross stuff they don't necessarily agree with. They just prefer to align with whatever is commonly accepted.

What they did to Galileo is a better example if you can avoid turning any valid criticism I make (that no way suggests genocide, ever) into bringing up Hitler and swashies. The guy was an emotionally crippled monster that went the absolute wrong way about dealing with a problem, that I think he falsely attributed to one religion.

It comes down to social policy, informing people and good governance that doesn't tolerate Marxist ideology (ruin).
