Awww thanks. I knew you would want to see some data. The best I can find with figures from the justice department is unfortunately from 2019 (
https://www.justice.gov/hatecrimes/h...ime-statistics). But let’s take a look at the hate crime category, shall we?
“Of the 6,406 known offenders:
52.5% were White
23.9% were Black or African American“
Now let’s look at representation. While people make up about 76% of the USA based on the 2019 census (
https://www.census.gov/quickfacts/fa...e/US/PST045219)
Black people make up about 13.4% of the population
GOLLY GEE, what a surprise. White people are under-represented based on their population size in hate crime occurrence and black people are over-represented. I’m sure this comes as no surprise to you and also the reason you asked for this data
