Desantis said no to the unemployment expansion because florida simply doesnt need it lol.. So not only is it impossible to get unemployment, by his own admission, but now the money the federal government wants you to have, hes keeping it from the people who need it most. His admin then sued the federal government saying "if we cant give this money away to rich people in the form of tax cuts, we shouldnt be able to receive it". Basically saying that once the federal government gives the state money, even if its earmarked by congress for something else, he wants to be able to give it away in tax breaks to his friends/donors. Thats illegal, so he decided to just outright deny it for everyone.
Not paying the government taxes is the rich mans dole. Thats how they get money every month from the government, by not paying it in. Then pretend its such a huge problem when people get money from the government, which they fight tooth and nail to not pay.
Its ok to give it away to his friends.
Its not OK to give to a single mom who needs to buy groceries.
