Honda used to make very fun to drive cars, so did BMW. Not so much anymore
I had an M3 in 2008, back when they were sticks and v8s with hydraulic power steering. That car was fun as fuck to drive, even though it damn near killed my spine on shitty Houston roads. I think I stopped being a “car guy” after BMW started making crowd pleasing cars. BMW was my favorite back in the day, and before that it was Honda with VTech. Now, idk. I really only like porsches, but I’d never buy one because I don’t like the look or the utter lack of practicality. I could take my kids to school in the M3. All 3 of them.
I thought about getting a civic type R just to beat th fuck out of it as a daily driver, but I LOATHE hatchbacks, so yeah, I’m done with cars I think
I agree with the Subaru STI being a good choice though. Those are still fun
