I would disagree. WEC is the pinnacle. F1 has barely any relation to road cars at all. Yeah they got 4 tires, an engine, and a transmission but thats about all they have in common and even those things are WAYYYYY different. So much so, they bare almost no relation to road car parts. Yeah 70 laps is cool but you know whats cooler? All the laps. 24 hours of racing at a time. Thats the shit that makes it down to road cars. F1 tech hardly ever makes it into road cars because its just so extreme and expensive. 8 million dollar engines.. come on.

No. And who the fuck wants to watch 24 hour of le mans? F1 is amazing for US viewers...races are 9/10/11 am sunday and over in less than 2 hours
WEC is good but it is not the
pinnacle of motor racing.
I'd argue that Mercedes passes a lot of tech onto their cars. Just look at the new 2021s...they have no belts anymore. Its all battery backup assist too. Thats a direct result of the F1 hybrid era.
F1 is more jet fighters than it is cars (all aero + as much power as possible but with as little fuel as you need)...but its still motor racing....just like offshore powerboat is motor racing.
