in my country, it is very easy to have a government ID: you have a health card you show to access free healthcare services.
Other than that, an official government ID looks like... a driver license or a fucking passport.
Do you folks have different options?
I don't own a fucking car so why should I get a driver license and I don't plan on travelling soon so why should I have a thing that expires in two years?
Do you not see why a lot of people, democrats voter who don't own a fucking car because we live in cities where rolling coal isn't really a good idea, think this is stupid?

Better idea (not): why not create a big database of voters with their face id on the database and you can just scan everyone as they come, no id needed.

It’s generally a good idea to have. Which is why it baffles me why I have never once heard a liberal politician say we need to make it easier for everyone to get an ID
It’s required to:
Buy alcohol
Buy cigarettes
Open a bank account
Apply for social services
Apply for federal health insurance
Apply for unemployment or a job
Rent/buy a house
Get legally married
Fly on an airplane
Buy a gun
Now those might not mean a lot to you guys, for some of us they really enhance the quality of life. Just the alcohol and the guns. Fuck the rest 😄
