What even is this question, really?

I mean, I don't think we root for Palestine because we love Islam, bro.
I think as a decent human being, when you see a country being occupied for 60 years+, where over 50% of the kids have lost their will to live, where 2 million people live in less than 300km square (dude, in comparison, imagine if Houston had the same population but was roughly 10 times smaller and nobody could escape the city) and who don't have access to clean, drinking water and have electricity on average 4 hours a day and where unemployment is in the 50%, your heart sinks, a little.

Normal human beings don't enjoy watching an occupied territory with no army having their hospitals being blown up. Normal people don't like to see children being shot at by a country just protecting itself. (against unarmed kids)

Most people look at those conditions and want an end to this.
Not everyone I guess.
Some revel in it.

And all the people without an high school diploma who think university are bad ended up being virology experts during the pandemic and now, I guess they are political experts on the israelo-palestinian conflict.

Make sense.
Dunning-Kruger in full swing.
The illiberal left's love for Islam extends beyond Palestine. "New record, first woman to do ______ in a hijab." Yes, let's cheer for a woman who manages to pull off something wearing a symbol of her oppression as if it's some sort of empowerment. Meanwhile, back home, honor killings.
