Think about food packaging the same way.
As for masks, my work has a separate bin to dispose of them in - like they're actually getting recycled or being put in a medical waste bag etc.

THANK YOU, If required for medical purposes, they should be disposed of in the same way medical waste is.
You do make a whole point about food packaging, But unfortunately that's not what this thread is about.
Edit: I have done extensive volunteering for Meals on Wheels in America.
Human waste product is some of the worst on earth...
