I’m only speculating. Some guilds are perfectly happy farming HoT and competing for smaller targets to complete epics. Could be they don’t know the timer, could be they just don’t want to, maybe some of them are unfamiliar with the mechanics of it, but the GMs made the decision they did based on what they felt was strong enough evidence of someone potentially cheating that they made it a new rule, so these are the ones we play with. A roll is a much lower barrier of entry than clicking for the duration of the window as well so if they do decide they want to throw their hat in the ring the opportunity is more appealing. There are all sorts of people at angry, shady, and scout after all. A few less ring 10s is t a huge deal, summer is coming, enjoy some bbq if you lose a ring 10 roll.

"Gm's believe there was cheating on click fests! THATS why they setup a random for win 3 weeks a month... and allowed clickfests to continue for 1 week a month!"
Judea I love you brother. But I have to say this sounds like a weird blinspot to me.
'anyone who wins at competition must be cheating!'
Seriously, this argument asserts that GM's are therefore supportive of
cheating as long as its limited to 25% of the time?
Are these the sorts of self-congratulating confirmation biases you guys all banty about in /gu or your weird shared discords or whatever?
I'm starting to see how so many people think its perfectly fair and reasonable to use and abuse Khall and TSS efforts to create a 'golem race draft' -- (all part of Jutebox's carefuly constructed political stragey even...so give credit where credit it due lmao)
And then turn around and setup a nice neat ring war system that completely excludes TSS - doubling down to say itd be idiotic to think anyone in TSS should ever get a ring 10!
With friends like these who needs enemies!
"yeah lets agree to stuff that gets me things! Oh you want stuff too? quit being an idiot! Remeber how perfectly content you are?"
