I have no idea how you get a PhD because I don’t have one. Do you?
You would be blind to not realize that social media is programmed to feed you mostly information that it thinks you would want to take in. And what it assumes (correctly so for most people) is information you want to take in is information that confirms your pre-existing beliefs
Also, it is human nature to want to shut down the opposition. If there more of one party in a particular location, that party will tend to bully the other one out of that location. Both parties do this. We tend to want to surround ourselves with people who validate and don’t challenge how we feel, because that’s considered (and correctly so) therapeutic
Or am I wrong on this. Do you attend conservative rallies and insist on surrounding yourself with mostly conservative friends by choice and not because they are the only ones available? Bravo if so, but you would be an anomaly
Also, most news media on both sides are outrage merchants peddling clickbait headlines, because it sells. I can deny the ethics of such a tactic all day, but I cannot deny the efficacy of it

So basically, you are in favour of cancel culture and against freedom of speech?
Also, can we stop saying news media on both side?
We know who owns 95% of American news outlet and none of those white dude a leftist.
They're conservative making money, shaping our discourse.
P.S: I have a baccalaureate, and have many friends with a phd.
It's not hard, it's dedication to learning a thing just so some shithead on the internet can say that you research is fake.

I agree.
Less outrage, please. Especially against someone expressing themselves in a way that is not 144 characters or less.
