Ive only seen that happen on the news. When that dad killed his son for playing a prank on him in a balaclava. Oh and they know the rules. You got some fair points. They just dont apply to my life/situation. cant say thats ever happened to me, with the drunk people. schrooming as a kid people would get hit with bird shot and salt, i guess i should be grateful none of my peers died in a cow pasture after a guy screamed "you know the rules bitch!" and used them as target practice for his new whatever, truck mounted artillery piece. They never called the police though. Its just not what is done around here.
All the land owners drop a mobile home on their property and let a dude live there for free. Four wheeler, truck, guns, etc all provided to "escort" people off the property or shoot the poachers. Deer poaching in orange groves, no cops for that. They cant even get on the property let alone down a 4 wheeler trail at 3am in some unfamiliar ass woods/swamps looking for an armed hunter that knows the land. Bad idea. Even worse for alligator poachers. Ever heard of peacock ranch? Thats how they do it. Used to be way crazier in the 1980-90s when the cocaine was flowing. Police working in private militias and shit.
I'm a product of my environment. "You know the rules bitch!" has killed the wrong person at some point, im sure, but I havent heard that story locally. The police are not much better in my area. If they feel like you wronged one of them personally, they will torture you. There was a gang in our local department that called themselves "the jump out boys" and their leader "one man game". Dude carried uzis and shit in his partol car. The kind of guy to hang a shotgun out the window of his car in a high speed chase to shoot at the other driver, shit like that. They are fucking cowboys and all their daddies are on the BOCC or donate huge checks to the police every month n shit. Its a sewer. They are just as likely to arrest you for a roach in your ash tray as the home invader you took down.
