1.) Neither is herpes, except with scientists developing newer and more effective vaccines, at some point both will go away, kinda like Polio.
2.) The common cold could kill you if you've never developed antibodies for it, but we have robust immunity from it because it's been around so long, so we live with that just fine.
So I don't know what you're getting at with this one.
