I’m 6’1”, 225. So my BMI is basically 30. This technically makes me obese, and this is the problem with BMI. I’m not “fat” according to standard metrics, and am actually in pretty good shape. I’m not a body builder, but I definitely have working man muscles. I could lose like 10 lbs of beer weight and probably be better for it though. That would make my BMI simply “overweight”.
