are you gonna build 100+ years of infrastructure in the sahara to support new york city? im not
are you gonna leave the comforts of whatever home you have made? im not
infrastructure didn't just pop into life, it took decades and centuries to evolve.
are you gonna pay for it? no one else is gonna, thats why there is no metropolis in super harsh climates, why no population of consequence lives there.
as time goes on more and more humans will feel entitled to the standard of living that we enjoy, and feel we are entitled to.
tech is likely to solve some of those issues, but there will always be a gigantic $$ sign.
