Okay, I decided to investigate this again and here is what I found...
One lava zone from SolA to SolB right underneath you and to the right as you zone into SolA from Lavastorm. This lava river drops you to the South of the Royals spawn at loc -707, -445, -16
Another Zone line is near loc -360, -620, 16 in SolA and places me at -272, -509, 26.44 (with levi on) in SolB, NOT in a lava tube, although I was deep in a lava tube in SolA when I zoned. This is the zone line I believe should place me IN a lava tube/lava river that should exit at the north side of the royals lava lake. The loc in SolB that I am dumped to is just to the left of a SolA/SolB zone line marked as letter B on the EQ Atlas map. As I guessed, this is just above the river of lava I should have been placed in.
All other open ends of the lava tubes either link up to each other or are impassable.
Hopefully this is enough info to identify the problem. I would like to try going up the lava river to the north of the royals spawn, but I'd rather do it when those rooms are camped, so as not to gain crazy agro and die in the lava.
EDIT: I tried to go up the river to the north of the royals, but there is a lava-fall blocking the way from making it to the zone line.
PS If you are going to test this, buff up and don't forget to scribe gate!
