American and British culture killed art in the 20th century. And not just by accident, either; GCHQ or whatever the brits called their culture spies back then were quite deliberate in capturing all of the remaining German artists, "denazifying" and employing them, while in their culture replacing traditional music with short-form consumer tunes, Beatles being their big example until USA learned to do even better with ethnic music. Remember Britain was well ahead of us in certain respects until we had grown into our postwar shoes, their military intelligence being pretty boss especially. Meanwhile, Soviet art was quite good and in fact they were the last Europeans making decent art, but in the end Moloch's gaping maw devoured their culture too and they were assimilated with the West, an artistic tragedy whatever you may think of the martial society's quality of life otherwise.

Don't boil things down too much Jibartik, nations don't exist in a vacuum. What happened to *all* European culture?
