Raiding isn't all the weight, but I guess its some.
Anyways, I usually make 3 or 4 varities, but they aren't too different.
All rounder tier for most content -
1. Enchanter, Shaman, Bard, Monk
2. Necro, Mage
3. Cleric, Warrior, Wizard
4. Everybody else in whatever order
Raid tier
1. Cleric, Warrior, Enchanter, Shaman
2. Wizard, Bard
3. Everybody else in whatever order
Solo Tier
1. Enchanter, Shaman, Bard
2. Necro, Mage
3. Wizard, Druid
4. Everybody else in whatever order
PvP
1. Wizard, SK
2. Who the hell cares
Enchanter and Shaman are useful almost always in every aspect of the game and Druids and Paladins are useful for the least aspects.
From there you can tell when someone has bias on a class, like if someone is talking up Paladin over SK they are probably a raider specialist who doesn't see solo as a thing or even content that exists like the guy I quoted above where a SAC contender will look at necros a little harder then a raider, etc.
and then yeah, pvp is all about Wizards and SK's

You don't value rogues in your raids? Alright.
