It’s too much for an old man like me. Not hatred, I just don’t understand what happened in my 56 years. Growing up you just beat the fuck out of people who deserved it and otherwise didn’t mess with people who you knew you didn’t get along with. Live and let live. Now everyone is in everyone else’s face about everything. And it’s weird because suicide, anxiety, depression, obesity, etc are increasing. We’ve become worse people inwardly even as violence and crime have declined, and I guess we needed to take our bellicose nature to another battlefield? Just my two cents

If this were a Canadian-run board & project we wouldn't even be having this debate. The haters would just be banned, full stop. There wouldn't be a discussion or debate. Even our most right-wing party isn't trying to repeal trans rights (though they don't want much new ones really). When Scheer couldn't say what he really thought about LGBTs, it destroyed all electability in urban centers.

It's a bit sad America is about 20 years behind the rest of the Western world dealing with diversity. Well perhaps not in the big cities but you get the point. This isn't some sort of superiority take, but more one of disappointment.

And while RnF is just RnF, it's doubly disappointing that it's so rife in the playerbase in a way it wasn't a few years ago. Mods should grow a set and just put it all down. Bigotry/hate isn't discourse. And it's a bad look for the project when it resembles 4chan more than a friendly social group.

This is a terrible environment to be openly trans in. Or even discuss something from a trans perspective. In fact I don't feel like representing myself as trans and avoid the label, gender, sexuality now. Try to avoid framing anything in sexual or gendered language. Perspectives.

I did develop somewhat by climbing the broken shores of this forum.

As a pastor would say, why walk over broken glass if I had a choice? No. I don't think I will again.

This forum isn't important in the grand scheme of things and there's plenty, been plenty, TRANNYQUEST. It's not like I have been silenced for being "trans".

The U.S. let's people bully. Can't say it's healthy, but we aren't the most collective bunch. It was good to vent when I needed to.

However, almost certainly if I was doxed I would never hold office or be well trusted by a cool and normal institution with any authority. And I'm not even really transphobic or straightphobic or whatever the alternatives are. I wish America could move on from its prejudices too. We need leaders who care about people being able to feed, house, and care for themselves. Not leaders worried about whether people have vaginas.

I guess I have just matured and don't really expect the rest of the forum to mature.
