Sadly, the night vision is still not completely classic. Infravision should at least make the mobs a faint red in the dark and light sources should do better to make the immediate surroundings visible. I remember in 1999, a GLS made you feel safe at night. It doesn't do a whole lot on a hacked Titanium client.
