Well, if you're on Giant faction you're not ruining anything. But also it does have a few rare niche items that people are willing to kill hundreds of mobs to get, such as
https://wiki.project1999.com/Guardian_Robe (which many melee like to get so they can "dress up" as a caster).
Really though IMHO loot should be a negative factor: the best zones to improve the
experience in are the ones that
don't give good loot to make up for it.
