I wouldn't say the Resistance is vindicated by the insurrection at all. In fact I'd argue the escalation of "delegitimist" rhetoric, which Trump himself initially coined with the birtherism stuff, then the liberal media picked up and ran with in the other direction, is exactly what fuelled the capitol riots and the sentiment that Joe himself might be illegitimate. All of these things cut both ways. It's psychology. You keep whispering it into the entire nation's ear every day for 4 years and you can say it about anybody. If the "Resistance" hadn't had the nation whipped into frothing anxiety for 4 years Trump would not have had raging seas to channel with his clumsy rhetoric.
