I still think there is some irony in us calling this an attack, while simultaniously being like "Where were the police! no security!"
If there was little no police or security, then why didn't they take the capitol?
They walked out.
I watched all of it live, along with every other American, that entire "coop" walked out of the capitol.
They walked out of DC.
There was no tear gassing, no giant militarized vehicles blasting audio to disorient the protestors commandeering huge swaths of the city.
They just walked home.
And Im to believ these were rioters in a civil war styled coop of our entire democratic way of life? That they were there for blood and to hurt and harm the people in the building??
I think no, it's quite clear, they were immature, morons who thought they had a right to walk into a building to yell at their elected leaders.
Some idiots had zip ties, some idiots had pipe bombs, some idiots wanted more than than a march, but did any of that materialize in a vacuum of virtually no police or security? No. It didn't. So can we please stop acting like it did?
