I've leveled most classes to 60 - Honestly no class is very fun/efficient to solo before level 45 or so unless it's a mega twink melee. Can you do it? Sure why not, but its not as glamorous or fun as it sounds. In the higher levels the classes get key abilities that make soloing more fun and on par or better than grouping.
Any melee with a fungi can PL themselves to 50 faster than any caster class could ever hope. On Green, I would probably pick a Necromancer as my vote since mega twinking isnt upon us yet, shamans are the most expensive class in the game, enchanters are a one trick pony, and barding leads to carpel tunnel. Wiz/Dru quadding not so great until higher levels also, but man can you fly from 46 to 52 with a lumi staff
