We cant because americans have been told from birth that they are special and they are exceptional. They dont have to follow rules. They can be an individual, even if it costs the life of a loved one. They are trained to believe that critical thinking is useless and "god did it" is good enough to explain most things.

We have a divide and on one side, they literally think that science is fake, its all just fat cats getting rich. Experts are not to be trusted, unless they agree with you. Its a now a political statement to say "I agree with the experts in this field who used scientific method to come up with this conclusion.". How can reading a thermometer every year and saying "its getting hotter, every single year..." be such an unbelievable thing? In america, it is.

You cant be a republican or a christian if you believe that science is the best way to come up with an explanation, according to all our knowledge and until something that explains it better is found. They will abuse science for their own gain/survival but when it comes to actually listening to someone they dont agree with or dont have skin in the game, they just stop thinking.

I heard a phrase today and it said more people will needlessly die because of "toxic individualism". These pussies who just cant listen and give a fuck. Its the same asshole that runs red lights 4 seconds after it changed because they are special. Same guy that flicks you off when they sit at a light for half the green on their phone, then you honk at them. As far as they are concerned, they have the right to impede you and your life with their decisions.
