If I had to bet, I still think the lake Victoria (unconfirmed crater) is the source of our divine instinct and the evolution of man.
And that our divine instinct is designed to lead us home and is transferred through our genes way instinct in all animals is.
What if a scientist created life on a dead rock, didn't like it, tried a few times, them modified it finally to make us his final creation.
Seems totally pragmatic to believe that this could have happened in a galaxy far far away. At least this day and age. And its just Abrahamic religion.
There is no difference in that idea than someone coming up with the same hypothesis 2 or 10 thousand years ago when the most we knew was how to farm because presumably a king in the stars allows it.
Which is frustrating because it brings me right back to the old, all we are is making up stories and we're dust in the wind thing.
