Many poor climate scientists would argue that over population is the greatest threat to mankind all together.

Many wealthy people who actually have a hand in deciding if we go to war or not, either believe that or that peasants like us are worthless and replenishable anyway.

So the loss of life may not be a factor when we finally decide to go to war or not again.
