Magnataress made an appeal to "human decency", thereby positing "human decency" as a concept that exists.
John 2:23-25 clearly states otherwise, as does Wisdom of Solomon chapters 1 and 2, so (s)he is essentially making an appeal towards a concept that cannot be substantiated; and given the sordid history of Humanity's "decency" at work, we're going to have to side with the empirical evidence that it does not.
Christ is "The Word" that God, the being that willed the material plane into existence, uses to make meaning of thought which would otherwise just be a formless incohesive blob, and subsequently using "Word"s without Christ essentially leaves whatever you God-less heathens have to say meaningless.
Quoting words of other godless heathens is thereby meaningless as well, by extension.
So, Provide actual proof; not the words of the Word-less, for they have no potency.
