The problem with footraces is the problem with any other metric.
Whenever Detoxx's guild is getting its fill of pixels the metric is fair. As soon as a metric stops working for them, we need a new metric.
Riot found the metric that Detoxx can't compete with -- Don't be a toxic piece of shit and talk down to your members, and don't allow your members to talk to each other that way. More people will want to join you than want to join them. That's how Riot was built.
