I kinda hope so, but it's oooold. I was there, in person, it was impressive, but it was engineered just so. The cables were massive, but a direct hit from a huge twister kinda thing or microburst could have weakened them. I could see it being compromised, and then slowly straining to the point of catastrophic failure as it kinda just became more and more unstable.

Sadly, it was a realllly bad ass telescope, ppl don't realize how cool it was and how good at getting pictures of tiny random objects in the solarsystem it was fucking incredible at looking at asteroid belt sized stuff.
