Logan, corpses have been free in every version of Everquest since 1999. You didn't get that memo?
Also, your asinine argument has been debunked.
What happened during classic does not equate to
what is classic.
Exhibit A: No one went 51-60 in under 10 days at Kunark release in classic
Should these people be deleveled to 51?
Should we have avoided this very bad very scary reality by putting a pause on all mob exp for 30 days?
Exhibit B: 50%+ of server didn't bind @ firepots in classic
Should we have made firepot binding a few hours only so only a few people could do it?
Should we just have eliminated it altogether?
Closing Argument: The historical record of 1999-2001 does not equate to what was
possible during 1999-2001. It is not the same was what defined
classic mechanics. "Being classic" means keeping the
game the way it was 1999-2001 - that's the mechanics, zones, spawn times, loot tables, etc. "Being classic" doesn't mean contorting mechanics, spawn times, etc. to produce player behavior that is exactly the same as 1999-2001. That's antithetical to the heart of EQ, an open sandbox world. Brad would not approve.
Saving quest items and turning them in at once was possible 1999-2001, it's jut no one had the creativity or drive to make it happen... until now
