I was on and had no unusual issues with DC's I am on Comcast as well. I do get frequent DC's when zoning. Some nights are worse than others. Nobody in my group had any issues either (in Mistmoore).
In my experience, guides will not assist with a DC unless it's server related, at which point they are exceptionally responsive. As you know, random DC's happen and they can't tell if it's a legit drop or if someone got in over their head and /quit..
