I started playing 3rd ed. D&D when i was 11 lol. I picked up the get started box set at a book store and was hooked. Granted it took us a while to get the rules right ( we were all 11-12) but we had fun.
Then I met a guy who ran a 2nd ed. D&D game and made a Dwarf Fighter took about a year to get him to level 7 i loved the campaign but not the 2nd ed. ruleset so much.
Iv DMed since i was about 15 non-stop. I had a 3rd ed. campaign that ran for 2 years straight. We played every wensday at 5pm. We had alot of people come and go over the course of the campaign but in the end just me, my now wife, and my best friend were the only 3 playing. I had a level 22 Dwarf Cleric, My Wife had a lvl 15 Barbarian/8 rogue, and my friend had a level 23 fighter/1 barbarian human. Was awesome times.
Iv since ran a couple d20 modern campaigns. One was a Fantasy game set in pos-apocalytic times ( aka orcs with guns, cocaine, and death metal) Then i ran a cyber-punk d20 modern with aliens mutants and humans.
Then a friend of mine DMed a game for me and a few friends ( first time i hadn't DMed in 8 years) He introduced me to Deadlands and the Savage Worlds ruleset, and i was hooked. Granted my first character, Tappin Ted, died like a toolto a gunshot wound but it was the best game i had ever played.
Since then iv DMed some different Savage Worlds settings. I ran a home-brew Savage Worlds fantasy game thats still running. A Pulp game that was kinda like Indiana Jones, and i just recently purchases the Deadlands game and started running it. So yes Iv played ALOT of D&D and other systems.
Oh and i ran an EQ based D20 game once with the actual Everquest D20 book... it really sucked trying to figure out everyones xp penaltys lol.
