You won't see an IR laser flash in your eye. Likely you will just go blind. It doesn't have to be long enough for you to feel heat on your skin.
There will be no "dot". Between that and using fancy tech to make people hear voices only they can hear. Surprised more people aren't trying to play God themselves.
