If you’re willing to play actively, good hole groups or duos will get you 10-14%/hr until level 54/55. After that, it slows down fast, but it’s still the best exp in the game and you’ll get 6-7%/hr through 58 at least.
As for the fun, I find that after grinding the same camp for a few weeks straight, 99% of the fun comes from chatting with group mates.
