The margins are close. Looking into potential fraud is legal.
The fact we can have recounts and verifying of votes means we live in a true democracy.
Iran, NK, China, don't have recounts. Neither do many African nations.

Gore didn't say he was ahead and that they then gave it to Bush. He didn't accuse anyone of "stealing" the election.
Recounts are good. It also isn't going to be close enough to matter anywhere but Georgia. And they need to get that one right more for the integrity of the Senate race than they do the Presidential race.
