Bug fix has been in the works since before you started. Concealed is the one who petitioned it.
As mentioned previously, mage epic should probably be lvl 50 to click (it was lvl 50 to click when it was first added to Lucy in Feb 2003). For lack of evidence, it looks like they're just bringing it under their blanket lvl 46 epic policy -
