edit: I wish we could learn or remember that we can have the
best things, from 2 starkly different political ideologies because that's what our country is designed to do! I don't blame one side for this (unless we want to blame our crappy social studies teachers on republicans defunding it) but I remember last time we had that discussion we landed on teachers should be payed exactly
