He was expendable as soon as they started doing the Jackass stuff. Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed it, and it was funny... but I would never be sad that a moron is dead and gone.
As for drunk driving, there is nothing wrong with it. The key is going slow enough so if you hit something, no real damage is done. Not going 100+mph and taking something else with you.
Dont see why its news that a moron got drunk and died in a car wreck.

The shocking part isn't so much that he died...it's how he died. We expected him to like fall to his death while trying to jump out of a plane and land in a hot air balloon without a parachute. A drunk driving accident is just so...average. C'mon Jackass...we count on you guys to pull stunts we're not supposed to try at home. Anyone can drink and drive!
