This is the reason I'm voting for Trump. Not because of the deal, but because how it was done. The initial plan was put out by his son-in-law. That plan heavily favored Israel and didn't do squat to stop their expansion. Reaction was lukewarm at best. If Jared altered his plan, he would be seen as wishy-washy. Trump steps in with 'his' plan, gets the deal made which goes way beyond the initial proposal.

He used his son-in-law to sound out the plan and maintain an illusion that it wasn't his plan in the first place. Then he sacrificed Jared publicly so he can ride in, unencumbered by previous plans and make a new deal. Jared learns humility. Trump learns how loyal Jared is. Israel finally cracks the Arab wall and gets full recognition from one member at least. The Arabs are happy the Jews won't take the West Bank (officially). Trump gets a 'middle east peace' headline right before the election. And to top it all off, the deal actually does promote peace.

Obama would have just sent an envoy after envoy after envoy each with a different proposal hoping there's a bite, and maybe a plane full of cash if that didn't work. Oh wait, that's exactly what he did and he got a big fat zero because of it.

The art of the deal.
