I pretty much agree with all the excellent advice the others gave here. I think it's a really fun class - I leveled one to 51 on Blue with some friends.

Swarmcaller slow sword def has it's occasional uses for soloing or odd groups without a slower until you get the Earthcaller/epic slow sword.
