Kind of agree. I feel like this type of game attracts bad people for numerous reasons. Like I could go join any random WoW server, join a guild, hop on Discord and have a lot of friendly conversations with players who are genuinely interested in helping each other or hanging out. Probably get to know each other and become long-term friends.
On EverQuest it's literally people just trying to steal off of me or rip me off 24/7, and this is a game where people put 60 hours into farming an item. Most of these people have any interest in interacting with other players or making friends. Pretty grimy crowd when you come down to it.
