Help me understand #2. Are you saying, basically, that if Team A does 51% of the damage, they get the exp/loot? Or are you saying that there are, effectively, separate health pools on the same mob for Team A and Team B?
If it's the former, that doesn't really solve the problem of bringing outside DPS to help you on a raid.

I was saying the former, and it does largely solve the problem. Again, if a "good team" tries to bring in some "evil team" characters to do DPS (for the purpose of those characters not being attackable by enemy "evil team" competitors), then that damage dealt would simply count towards the enemy faction. Therefore, virtually nobody would do it. Why use a character whose damage counts towards the enemy team? You would just lose the DPS race for a target like that, or at the very least, the enemy team could target your healers and focus on killing them to cause a team wipe, and the "evil team playing for the good team" characters you brought in for DPS wouldn't be able to do anything to stop them, since they can't attack them.
Regardless of whatever someone is doing to try and cheat the system, this where the /report function comes it. By having an in-game function that allows the players to easily flag cross-team cheating, it would put a halt to almost all of it. People don't want their accounts suspended (misusing the /report feature to falsely report someone would also be grounds for suspension, if anyone was going to bring up that "what if?" scenario).
