I'm not sure trembling actually happens. I think it's a literary device of some sort, or a flavor text regarding the peasants in a nerd&d campaign. I've seen people shit and piss themselves but never just shake. I mean maybe they're shaking while shitting, but it's not like you're gonna go on and describe them as 'trembling' because the 'shitting themselves' takes precedence.
Anyone ever seen anyone just tremble in real life?
