The decided to achieve their earlier plans in a different method. They've been on the ground doing their penance and rending their clothes but meanwhile they're doing all right comparatively; no one is bombing their industry, the Russians are like 3 borders away and they're surrounded by tribute-paying Axis Minors and still very friendly to their favorite Muselmänners, the former Ottomans.
