We had a guy in high school that had a car and we called him Eddie U-turn because when we piled into the bomb to go cruising for hot foxes if anyone spotted anything we would go "U-turn!!!" and he would just automatically pull a u-turn at that instant regardless of traffic laws and we would look at each other and make joystick motions with our hands.

I saw that same motion in a corporate meeting room decades later when some guy sent his subordinate on some errand and then turned to his buddy and put his fist on top of his palm and did the little joystick motion. I didn't know it was so universal.
