Here's Nilbog's words, not mine, from day #1. Keep in mind that everything in there is meant to contrast against against the (at the time) current state of EQ Emulated servers, which was heavily based on EQ Mac and later versions of EQ.
What you'll note is a whole lot of "promises" about things being way more classic than previous emulated servers ... but not even once, in that very first post ever about P99, did Nilbog ever promise complete and total 100% mechanical accuracy on anything.
I mean, heck, even if he did ... that was over a decade ago! After a decade-plus of experience, I'd argue he'd have a right to change his promises ... but he didn't:

You realize that whole thing you just posted doesn't have the word promise in it anywhere.
If you're arguing that the feature list for the server at launch were all promises then you're proving my point more than yours because those are classic mechanics, not recreated mechanics to promote classic feel.
