You clearly don't know of anyone who has attempted or committed suicide if it isn't "sad" to you. Yeah they could have changed it, they could have made their lives better. And no doubt they should have taken the alternative. But their life was, to them, not worth changing. Come on now. He's ignorant because he doesn't believe what you believe? Sounds kind of like ignorance to me. You know Im not trying to pick on you, really, but I lost my father to suicide, basically. It's not SAD the fact that he did it. It's SAD that he's no longer here. But his method of doing so doesn't draw any sympathy from even his own son. I think that's the difference here. Nobody is saying that it's not sad he is gone or it's sad that his parents have to deal with him not being around on holidays. It's just that it's not sad the method he went out on. Regardless of the reasons.
