Well really on P99 the fact is is that the GMs are judge, jury, and executioner. There is no jury of peers.

If the enforcement of the rules were consistent, the name Ramal Modo is banned simply because it is a famous person backwards. Period. No need for admission of guilt or "proof." We all know it's not a coincidence though lol

It is only recently that I found out people actually keep a list of names that violate the naming policy and they are only enforced when whistleblowers inform the staff. I can't (can) believe that a group of sycophantic nerds actually does this. They should focus on getting XP (which something tells me they struggle to do)

The naming policy should be modified to something that can be consistently enforced. Vulgarity is a no brainier.

"Ramal Modo" could very well be an Erudite name, it should actually -not- be banned simply because it's a basketball players name backwards. It's actually clever. Also, how many neckbeards can name NBA players in the first place, let alone backwards. In addition, in "classic" people had these types of names all the time.

The thing is - there is a ton of stupid rule lawyering on this server and "the rules are the rules" with no jury of peers. Rule lawyering non-offensive obscure names is ridiculous. However, "the rules are the rules" just like fighting over camps and mobs, and we make the bed we sleep in.
