I think I've proven spending has been liberal over the past 30 years.
The US wasn't always bankrupt and in debt. Spending wasn't always out of control. Our debt has near quadrupled in just a short amount of years. This shows a clear shift to increase spending.... another way of saying that is "liberal spending". It's become exponential even which makes the relationship quite clear that we've shifted to the left spending over the past 30 years.
