Dunno, imagine trying to explain to George Washington that slavery is wrong. He probably would be equally as non plussed. I doubt they would understand a lot of the decent changes America has made/is trying to make.

George Washington knew slavery was wrong. He was one of the few that wanted to free slaves in the Declaration of Independence but was worried of the outcome of the British since it was still a major economic factor. Plenty of writings about Washington and his views on slavery.
I'm sure the people crying about Trump haven't heard the latest on Sondland. Very strong whistleblower you got there.
